Eight years on – have we learned anything?

It is eight years to the day since that notorious referendum. For half of that time we have had a taste of the real Brexit. It was delivered by politicians who took the result as a mandate to pretend the 48% did not exist, and to act as they chose in the name of the ‘Will of the People’. Are we obliged to stay silent on such a travesty of democracy? Are there lessons for the forthcoming election?
